Biography
Steve Giacoletto graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1990 and the Missouri Bar in 1991. He began his legal career as an associate attorney in Columbia, Illinois, and has been a principal at the Giacoletto Law Firm in Collinsville, Illinois, since 1996.
Over the years, Steve has gained significant litigation and trial experience in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation, civil appeals, felonies, misdemeanors, traffic offenses, family law, estates, wills, and probate.
Currently, Steve limits his practice to:
- Automobile collisions
- Semi-tractor trailer collisions
- Motorcycle and bicycle collisions
- Pedestrian injuries
- Slip and fall and premises liability injuries
- Dog bite cases
- Uninsured/Underinsured motorist claims
- Insurance bad faith actions
- Municipal law
- Civil appeals
Steve is also a lead counsel in class action lawsuits against major insurance companies involving delayed payments of uninsured/underinsured motorist benefits and against real estate tax buyers relating to Sherman Act anti-trust violations.
