Edwardsville, Ill., June 22, 2022 – Managing Partner of The Gori Law Firm, Sara Salger has recently been appointed to the Southern Illinois University Board of Trustees. Salger’s appointment was one of several announced by Gov. JB Pritzker. As part of the board, she will have the opportunity to serve and support the SIU School System, including her alma mater Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
“I am incredibly honored and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the university that contributed to so much of my growth as both an individual and as a professional,” Salger said. “Much like The Gori Law Firm and its commitment to serving our communities, I plan to represent the students, faculty and staff of the school system in that same capacity.”
Salger graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She then went on to receive her juris doctorate from Saint Louis University. One of The Gori Law Firm’s first attorneys, Salger’s career has focused on advocating for and representing victims of mesothelioma and lung cancer due to asbestos exposure.
Since 2008, she has served as an associate, partner and now managing partner. Salger has also been continually recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star every year since 2015. In addition to her appointment for the Board of Trustees, she is a member of several other organizations including the Illinois Trial Lawyer’s Association and the American Association for Justice.
