Prior to her untimely passing on December 20, 2014, attorney Gail G. Renshaw of The Gori Law Firm represented a client in a probate matter challenging a trial court’s finding that the client was a fiduciary to her stepfather and fraudulently derived a financial benefit from him prior to his death. On December 4, 2015, the Illinois Appellate Court reversed the trial court, finding there was no evidence that the client exerted influence over her stepfather’s financial decisions and that the trial court improperly presumed fraud. (In re Estate of Emil Kittel, Deceased, 2015 IL App (5th) 140221-U.)
This case is an excellent example of The Gori Law Firm‘s diversity of legal expertise outside of our typical practice areas that concentrate on asbestos-related injuries, occupational disease, pharmaceutical litigation and personal injury.
