Community Involvement
At The Gori Law Firm, we strongly believe in giving back and being actives members of the community. Since our inception in 2008, we have donated over $3,500,000 to more than 300 local charities, organizations and nonprofits.
We have been advocates for organizations that support:
- Animal Rescue and Care
- Child Welfare
- Pediatric Cancer Research
- Laborers
- Education
- And Much More
In addition, our firm also has strong ties with organizations aimed at helping those diagnosed with asbestos-related mesothelioma and lung cancer such as the ADAO and the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation.
We believe that our mission goes beyond that of providing legal services to those in the areas that we serve. By aligning ourselves with meaningful organizations, we aim to improve the quality of life for not only the residents in our communities but also for our valued employees.
Questions?
Fueling the Vaccine
In an effort to lend our support during the COVID-19 pandemic, our firm delivered fresh coffee and donuts to healthcare workers at vaccination clinics hosted by SIHF Healthcare. We are incredibly grateful for all those who have been working tireless to help our communities throughout these times of uncertainty.
Teacher Appreciation Giveaway
Throughout the month of November, The Gori Law Firm invited participants to nominate deserving teachers and educators across the country for a chance to receive a $50 gift certificate. Nearly 200 teachers were nominated during the campaign, and thanks to an anonymous donation, 100 individuals were awarded.
Dirt2Turf
The Gori Law Firm partnered with Roxana High School to sponsor it’s Dirt2Turf Project, which hopes to update the existing athletic fields through the installation of turf. Managing Partner Sara Salger, a graduate of the school, was eager to lend support to the project. Currently, the facility hosts a variety of programs and activities, including junior and varsity football, soccer and cheerleading as well as high school dances and the school’s marching band, the Shells. The changes to the field will improve student experience for years to come.
Oktoberfest
Partnering with a local tap house, The Gori Law Firm hosts a lively annual Oktoberfest celebration in Edwardsville to raise funds and awareness towards the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation. For the past several years, upon the event’s conclusion, The Gori Law Firm has matched the proceeds raised at Oktoberfest with funds going directly to the foundation.
Saint Louis University
The Gori Law Firm was admitted into The DuBourg Society for making a $1 million charitable donation to St. Louis University and the School of Law Expansion campaign. Randy Gori was honored with the St. Louis University Silver Crown Award in acknowledgement of outstanding generosity by The Gori Law Firm‘s founding partners. This charitable donation will help support mission-based extracurricular experiences, financial aid, and funding for researchers contributing to discoveries in medicine, technology, engineering and more.
Land of Lincoln
The Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation that provides free civil legal services to low-income persons and senior citizens in 65 counties in central and southern Illinois. The foundation handles civil cases and provides services ranging from telephone advice or brief service to representation in court or at administrative hearings. The type of services provided depends on the legal issues, case merits and staff availability. The Gori Law Firm was proud to support this organization’s important work with a $250,000 donation.
Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities
With over 200 middle school and high school students from 23 schools in Madison County participating in this discussion and action-based project, “Conversation Toward a Brighter Future” is a solution to the negative discourse that is taking place across the country among national leaders. This program encourages our youth to “think outside of the box” and consider how we must treat each other to exist and thrive as a society, and The Gori Law Firm was happy to donate $100,000 to the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities for the project.
